Film Shooting

During our filming, we had to adjust the lighting a lot to make sure the scene was dark and create a frightening mood. For example, the lighting inside the house was darker/dim and the lighting during the day was bright. Additionally, we made a few improvises to our script while filming to make it seem more realistic. Instead of matching pajamas, we all just wore Christmas ones. We also added the scene of the girls eating pizza before the movie to create a sense of reality and sequence to the film. Furthermore, the dark figure appears next to Lily as she is grabbing her bag from the car, and not in the mirror behind her because the audience would not have been able to see the dark figure in the mirror as clear as we could. Originally we stated that the over the shoulder shot would be from Lily's point of view as she was walking out to her car; however we flipped it and had the shot from over the shoulder of the stalker watching Lily walk out of the house. Thus creates suspense and shows that Lily has no idea the stalker is standing there. We also changed the location of the other over the shoulder shot to be walking out of the mall instead of walking through the mall, in order to let the audience know the girls have no idea they are going to be followed home. Lastly, the shot of the girls watching the movie was also changed. We originally had us flip the popcorn and spill it but it is edited out to make it seem more realistic.

This shot was used to create suspense in the group of girls and to foreshadow what is coming next. 

This shot is the opening to the film and is used to showcase the setting.
