The genre for this film is Drama/Romance. There is a sound bridge to start the movie. You can hear the crowd cheering in the distance and then the screen fades in to a man in very dark lighting. The camera is handheld, which creates a more hectic scene, and follows behind him as he goes on stage and the lighting becomes brighter. The man turns around to face the camera and it pans down to his hands where he is taking pills out of a bottle. The camera still being handheld walks behind the man as he walks to the front of the stage. It then pans to the crowd and then cuts back to the man beginning to play the guitar. There is now source music playing from his guitar and the crowd gets even louder. There are many close ups on his face as he sings the song and even some over the shoulder shots to show the crowd and him in the same picture. Then suddenly the music stops and the screen flashes to a mid shot of him getting into his car in very dark lighting. The budget for this film was 36 million dollars and it made a worldwide total of 434.9 million dollars. It won many awards including Critics' Choice Movie Award for Best Actor and Satellite Award for Best Cinematography.
